Showcase Team Information

Welcome to our NEW showcase page. Below is a brief breakdown of our programs and what we set out to accomplish for High School Athletes!

Rake Baseball Academy serves as the training facility for many elite high school, college, and professional baseball players. 

Why Play Rake Baseball?

Rake Baseball offers so much more than just a place to play baseball on the weekends. 

Winter Training

Players will have team training 2x a week starting in the winter with the focus on team development. In addition to the team training each player will receive a Rake Baseball Academy membership which grants them access to the facility during “open gym” hours. The membership allows players to hone their skills, be around the coaching staff, and be part of a focused, determined culture. The membership includes use of the weight room and use of the HitTrax. HitTrax is a great visual tool that gives players instant feedback on every swing and every pitch thrown. We are able to track progress and focus on weaknesses to turn them into strengths.The goal of winter training will be to prepare each player for the high school season, their recruiting videos, and summer season. What is unique to Rake Baseball is the individuality that comes with developing players. Every player will go through assessments to determine what they need to work on in order to develop as a better baseball player. Assessments will include weight room assessments and hitting/throwing evaluations. 

Professional Coaching

Rake Baseball Teams will be coached by individuals with college/professional level playing experience. Coaches will be teachers of the game and mentors to the players. Each coach will have the utmost respect towards the game, the players, the parents, the umpires, and the other team.

2022 and 2023 Showcase Teams 

The Showcase Teams have the primary focus in the summer of being seen by as many college coaches as possible. Every time the team plays a game there will be college coaches in attendance. This will be accomplished by attending certain events/showcases that guarantee college coaches at every game. The Showcase Teams will also have practices during the week with potential mid-week games against local travel teams. The summer season will consist of 8-9 tournaments. Below are tournaments/showcases that the 2022 and 2023 Showcase Teams will be attending:

• ASBA Future Starz 

• PBR events

• Diamond Nation 

• MSI events 

• Local College/University Team Showcase 

Social Media will be heavily used in the winter and summer to advertise our players to college coaches. In addition, the Showcase Teams will have a “scout day” at the end of our winter sessions which entails having recruiting videos done and individual player profiles created. Having video is of the utmost importance in today’s world. The recruiting videos will be posted on our social media pages and sent out to college coaches. 

The recruiting process can be stressful and difficult. With Rake Baseball the recruiting will be outlined and made simple. We will hold a general meeting in regards to the college recruiting process in which we will go over how to navigate the process, the DO’s and DONT’S, and important information you need to know about the process. This will also give you the chance to ask any questions that you have about the process. Each player will also have individual recruiting meetings throughout the winter and leading up to the summer. 

Underclassmen Tournament Team 

The Underclassmen Tournament Team will have the primary focus on individual development and creating a winning culture. The summer season will consist of 10 tournaments. Some events will have in college coaches in attendance. The Underclassmen team may compete in the following the tournaments:

• ASBA Future Starz 

• Diamond Nation 

• MSI Tournaments 

• BSE Tournaments 

• ECTB Tournaments 

In addition to weekend tournaments there will be local mid week games and practices. 

Referral System: Rake offers a referral system to help save you money. For every friend that you bring and who makes the teams you will save $100. Ex: If you bring 2 friends and both of them make the team then you will have $200 off the cost of the team.
